A locally trained clinician, he completed his MBBS at Adesh Institute, Bathinda, before pursuing an MS in Ophthalmology at Command Hospital (Western Command), Chandimandir. His medical journey is shaped by five years as a commissioned officer in the Indian Army Medical Corps. 

At Max Hospital, Bathinda, Dr. Jaspreet Makkar has joined the Eye Department as a consultant clinician, steadily advancing his clinical and surgical skills under the guidance of Dr. Kashish Gupta, Head of the Eye Department.

With focused training in cataract surgery, anterior segment care, and community ophthalmology, he represents a new generation of ophthalmologists—technically sound, patient-centric, and committed to ethical practice.
