A promising corneal transplant surgeon, Dr. Nimisha Nagpal, received specialized training at leading global centres, including West Virginia University (WVU) in the USA and Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai. Her specialties include corneal transplantation, advanced dry eye care, treating ocular surface disorders, and refractive surgery (including SMILE and LASIK).
After finishing her studies at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in Ludhiana, she obtained a postgraduate degree in ophthalmology from Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh. Her academic career is based on excellence. Short-term fellowships at the Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai and the H.V. Desai Eye Institute in Pune provided her with practical experience in treating various corneal disorders, further enhancing her clinical acumen. At West Virginia University in Morgantown, she received clinical training, concentrating on detecting and treating uncommon corneal infections and dry eye disease.
